  Typical WT BS. They take a whole page to say what they could have said in about 2 sentences. "Dear borthers and sisters, as of January 1, 2006 the Awake will now be a monthly issue." I sure am glad I don't have to sit thorugh all those boring service meetings anymore.

  Trying to find an old picture

  i wonder if anyone can remember a drawing, i think it was in the old children book (pink/orange hard cover if i remember correctly), of babies being offered up as sacrifies to a false god.

  the god looked like a huge chair/alter with flames ( i think) and horns.. .

  I bought a copy of the Paradise book at a used book sale in the mall. I wanted a copy for reference. I recall studying that when I was small but don't recall having any adverse night mares over it. Also I think that was one book that was reedited over the years. Someone else might know but it seems like they took put some objectionable material out of the later issues.

  Before the internet I thought I was the only one that had these feelings and doubts. The last 5 to 10 years after reading ex-JW sites I have come to realize I was not alone in my thinking. Before the internet that was the big thing that the WT had over any ex-JW was the fear of being alone and not having a support network to fall back on.

  I had a boss that did that all the time but it got to a point where you knew he was planting information because he would lead off by saying, "Just between you and me".....

  I know their is a lot of game playing, gossipy people in the organization. My problem is I am too trusting and would get burnt by these type of people.

  I'd advise every Witness to think twice before confessing ANYTHING to a Witness elder. Your information is not safe according to the Society.
  
  According to the Society the elders are untrained volunteers. Part of the lack of training must be confidentiality with sensitive information.

  I learned that the hard way. I confided in the elders personal information thinking they were genuinely interested in me as a person only to find out they later used my words against me to DF me.

  KM in 1974 praising people for selling all their stuff and pioneering?

  someone on this site mentioned they got a km off ebay that praised those that sold all their belongings and preached.. does anyone know which km that was?.

  interesting, when going through the society's cd-rom i noticed that the drama for the district convention in 1975 was about noah's ark and was something along the lines of "there's still time left!

  The evidence is clear that Jehovah has used and is continuing to use his one organization, with "the faithful and discreet slave" taking the lead.

  It gets back to, if Jehovah is perfect why would he use an imperfect organization?

  That is the first thing I noticed that they did not compare the 2004 stats with the 2003 stats. To my knowledge they have always compared previous years stats.
